i know there are people out there that dread Monday’s. For that I apologize. Most of the time I am fortunate enough to look forward to them. Weekdays have structure, which I crave. I have a job and coworkers that I enjoy, so going back to the office doesn’t bother me. Lastly, it’s a do over. Every Monday you get to start fresh.
Disappointed with things last week, that’s ok it’s old news now that it’s Monday. Were you going to start XYZ last Monday, but for whatever reason you just didn’t. That’s OK, another Monday is here and you can get it started on the right foot. A clean slate, don’t look at it as the end of your weekend, but as the beginning of your week. In my opinion beginnings are usually way better.
Last week was very up and down for me. Work was good, but my workouts were not. I didn’t sleep well, but enjoyed a lot of time with my kids. This week lies the opportunity for all of those things to be high. I set my alarm for 5am this morning. For the last 3 months my husband has had to leave for work by 6am, starting today he doesn’t have to leave until 7am. I still got up at the same time I have been. Which meant I had more time at the gym. I got in a lot of cardio and did 5 different machines for abs.
So, at least I am setting myself up for success. The rest of the week will have its bumps, but at least I started on the right foot. I am drinking a cup of coffee and writing my blog, which is one of my favorite things to do now in days. I want to make everyday count. Not just work for the weekend, but enjoy everyday.
