#40Notes40Days : Someone who taught you a valuable lesson

This one was easy.  The first person that came in my head when I thought of this topic, is my oldest biological son.

James-

You can not even begin to know right now all the love that I have for you.  I didn’t know love before I knew you.  This all encompassing, beautiful, larger than life emotion that fills my heart and soul every day.

You have taught me and continue to teach me so much about myself.  What it means to love someone so much that you would die for them.  That you would give up everything that you want or thought that you wanted in order for them to be happy, healthy and safe.

You have taught me patience.  I bet that you don’t think that I am very patient, but you certainly have slowed me down a bit.  Made me realize that I can wait, that things can be done differently than I do them.  You have shown me a world from a boys point of view.  So different then I see things or different then I ever did, even as a child.

You gave me strength when I had none left.  You gave me hope when I thought all was lost. You give your love, your hugs and your kisses more freely than anyone I have ever met. You have an amazing heart.  Thank you for all that you have taught me about you, me and the world.
