I was working all day on Saturday, so I have to catch up and do my “T” before I can do my “U” for today.
Tom Petty is an amazing artist. He wasn’t alway son classic rock radio, but the older bands get, the more I hear from them on there (obviously).
With a handful of my favorite songs coming out before I was even born, I guess this make them old enough to be classic rock! LOL.
“Don’t Do Me Like That”, “Refugee”, “Here Comes My Girl” and “Even the Losers” are wonderful songs that I most often here on my radio.
Songs that are a little bit newer, that I have to listen to on own CD’s for the most part are “Free Fallin'”, “Last Dance with Mary Jane” and “American Girl”. I believe that these songs are the ones that most people know Tom Petty For. Even my kids know that words to Free Fallin.
My favorite album of his though, the album that I remember when it came out and listened to it for years is “Wildflowers”. I was a Freshman in high school when the album came out and I listened it to regularly all the way through college. “You Don’t Know How It Feels”, “It’s Good to Be King”, “You Wreck Me” and “Wildflowers” are my favorite songs on this album.
