Manic Monday Check-In: 5/2

First lets take a look back at April.

For the month of April my stats were 2, 583 views from 887 visitors.  1, 535 likes with 282 comments.  Pretty Amazing if you ask me.  And that was with working 2 weekends in April (which tends to be when I am able to catch up on my blogging the most)

Writing for the A to Z Challenge in April was so fun.  It was wonderful to have something so focused, yet being able to make it my own.  I love writing about Music.  Music feeds my soul.  I put a lot of time and effort into coming up with each day’s band and enjoyed reflecting on some music I hadn’t heard in awhile.

As far as last week goes we were at 887 views from 279 visitors.  484 likes with 94 comments.  There are two posts from last week that blew all the rest of my posts for the whole month of April out of the water.  Last week also saw visitors from two new countries, Columbia and Vietnam!  You know that is my FAVORITE stat 🙂

Those posts are “I Know and Thank You” and the follow up “It Turns Out, I was Right” both written to and about my fellow blogger Not The Average Mama, also known as Jess my kids other mama.  Whom I had no idea was who she is, until Monday of last week.  It lead to a beautiful, eye opening and honest week for the two of us.  Go over and give her some love if you aren’t already following her.  She writes a lot about our kids, how much she loves them and the life of a “step” mama.  It’s pretty incredible.

Yesterday I decided to switch up my site. I went from the “Eventbrite” theme to “Flounder” and I am digging it so far.  I have had a lot of compliments on it.  So, I think that I made the right choice for me.  With that I also hit 400 followers on WordPress yesterday.  Lets not forget that Jess told me how she makes all of her wonderful images on her blog, so I started playing with that too.  I’ve made a handful now, one for all the regular categories that I have.  Today is my first time showing off my “Manic Monday” image.

I love writing.  I have been told that I am good at it, but I don’t even care about that.  I do it because it feels good.  I do it for me, for therapy, for relief.
