Here are the questions:
What are you reading now?
Why not me? by Mindy Kaling
What’s the next one on your list?
Sex, Lies and Online Dating by Rachel Gibson
Do you prefer a Real Book or a Reader?
I am actually really OK with both, but for very different reasons and purposes. I do most of my reading while I am working out, so for that the ereader is a MUST. I don’t have to hold on to it and I just have to tap the screen to turn the page. Plus, I am a pretty cheap person and the amount of books available to me on hoopla and overdrive is AMAZING. I listen to audio books at work sometime when I am in my cubicle. Instead of listening to music, I listen to books instead. Most often the “real” books that I read are books that my team is reading at work. I do love the smell of books, especially old ones from the library.
Do you stop mid book if you don’t like it?
I usually try desperately to make it through a book. I will put it down and go back to it and back to it to try to make it through to the end. I usually am reading a few books at a time given the different types of books I read and when. So, I can move to another one and then come back.
Do you have to finish a chapter before setting the book down?
Yes, no matter when and how I am reading!! I am a little controlling and OCD so I will always finish a chapter before putting the book away. Even if it means staying at the gym for a few more minutes or turning off an audio book a little bit early.
What’s the best series you’ve read?
Harry Potter, yes I am a big dork and I am OK with that. Due to how my brain works, I have a hard time getting lost in fantastical things. Dreaming of these big, elaborate, magical things, but Harry Potter was written in such a way that I was immersed in it 🙂
What’s the first book you remember loving?
Matilda by Roald Dahl. I have read this book so many times. The kids own multiple copies too (they haven’t read it yet), but they own my copy from when I was a kid and a fresh new copy of their own.
Ever been in a book club?
Favorite book you read in school?
The Scarlet Letter and Little Women
Least favorite book you actually stuck with?
MMMMM….I can’t think of a book that I didn’t end up liking in some way! I am sure that there was, it just isn’t ingrained in my memory.
What book are you glad you didn’t give up on?
I am Malala: Malala Yousafzai. It was for sure hard to read. It took me nearly 10 months to get all the way through it because I was only able to read one at a time.
Do you have a favorite genre?
I guess it would be what Jess called “chick-lit” and when I google that the first 12 books that come up are books that I have read LOL! So, yes Chick-Lit it is. My favorite Audio-books however, are books that comedians have written. Such as Chelsea Handler or David Sedaris and Mindy Kaling.

The answer to this would also be The Secret!

What’s your favorite reading spot?

What character from a book would you love to meet?
Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games! What a bad Ass! Also Tris from Divergent for the same reason!
What is your favorite children’s book?
So…my favorite book EVER is Matilda which is a child’s book. Though, a close second is Charlotte’s Web. We own a few different copies of that in our house and it always makes me heart happy 🙂
