Well after a stressful week, last night my husband and I withdrew our offer on the house.
I am sad, but I definitely know it was the right thing to do.
At this point we need to put a pin in it and start looking again in the spring. Looking right before the holidays is/was super stressful.
There were many signs yesterday pointing us to this choice. This house obviously wasn’t “the one” and when the time is right we will find the perfect fit for our family and then we will know why it didn’t work out this time.
For now we have plenty of other things to keep us busy!!

As you said last night, the person who was most excited about this after you, was me BUT that just means something better is around the corner. You made the decision to not settle but to do what was best for your family ❤

😦 I’m so sorry. You didn’t elaborate on the reason but you’ll tell us if and when you get ready. I agree with not the average mama. It just means that something better is just right around the corner! 🙂

There were two giant cracks in the drive way that FHA says need to be fixed. The sellers refused to fix them and we couldn’t afford to fix them before closing and quite frankly I didn’t want to add something else onto my plate before closing. And the way that they just straight up refused to help, really rubbed me the wrong way. So, we took it as a sign.

Ah…yeah, FHA and VA are pretty strict with their rules and you’re right. If the owners weren’t willing to fix that or at least help you, there’s no telling what would happen later.
Like a few of us have said…there’s something better around the corner! 🙂

when it is the right one, everything will fall into place..the funding will appear, the inspection will go well, there won’t be any surprises and you will be content with the decision instead of alternating between ecstasy and fear. Good luck sweetie!
