I really like take a look back at the previous week to see all the things that I did for myself. It makes me feel good to know that I took care of myself.
1.) I went to the gym 5 times last week.
2.) We went to one of our favorite breweries on Saturday. It takes a little while to get to, but we didn’t have anything that we “had” to do, so we went.
3.) I had quite a few beers and the scale might be recognizing that today! With Super Bowl Sunday, that added an extra drinking day to my week. It is OK though and will certain burn off in no time.
4.) Getting in my steps while in my down time at work. I had late nights on both Monday and Tuesday this past week. I got to my training space to set up and then had some time before participants were set to arrive. Naturally, I just kept walking around the perimeter of the room to get those extra steps in.
5.) Going to furniture stores to look at stuff for our new house. Even though we have to wait until we close, we went now to get an idea of what we were looking for and what the kids would like.
6.) I finished yet another book while reading at the gym last week.
7.) More paperwork for our new house. It has been tedious, but the process is all part of making a dream come true.
8.) I sat with my daughter and watched quite a few episodes of Gilmore Girls. It is rare that just the two of us have hours together and it was really nice.
9.) I went to Barnes and Noble to use part of a gift card that my son had given to me. I looked around and couldn’t really find anything that I wanted. Then I had to go to the bathroom, so I walked to the back of the store. As I was walking back out of the bathroom, I saw a sign on a shelf and knew that I had to buy it. It was a version of a quote that I heard while going through my divorce. It was the perfect sign for our new home.
