Snow Day

We have a snow day here in Livonia MI.  Quite a few inches of snow fell on the ground throughout the day yesterday.  So much that schools were released early and even my place of business closed for staff at 2pm.

I was supposed to be working from home anyway today, so for me it is just the same as it ever was.  For the kids though, they have dreams of playing in the snow and drinking hot chocolate.

They are so excited about this, that they woke up at 6:20 this morning.  Now, if I tried to wake any of them up at 6:20 on a normal day, they would be so angry and tell me that they were too tired to get out of bed.  On a day where we have no plans and aren’t going anywhere though, they are all wide eyed and ready to go!  UGH, MOM LIFE!

It is Thankful Thursday though, so I will tell you what I find myself thankful for today.  The ability to work from home.  Whether it is on a snowy day like today or a sunny day right in the middle of July, I can work from home.  I do so about once a week and I do not take it for granted.

My essential oils.  I put a couple in my diffuser first thing when I woke up this morning and I anticipate them rolling through the house all day.

The plumber comes today.  Well, at least I think that they still will.  Do plumbers have snow days?  Man, I hope not and I am going to tell them that I appreciate them coming out in this weather.  The hot water in my kids tub wouldn’t turn off all the way last Friday and the soonest appointment we could get was for this morning!  Please God let them be able to find the issue, a solution and let it be covered under my home warranty!

My at home businesses, where I am my own boss.  I had orders coming in last night and it made me so grateful to all of my friends and family who have supported this dream.  So much so that they have let me branch out to their circles, their friends’ circles and they still come back to place their orders ❤  My family owes our happy holidays to you!
