We have just a a few days left of summer and we are certainly making the most of it.
Yesterday we used our last 2 Groupons. We spent an hour at Airtime where the kids bounced around, played dodge ball and basketball. Then we moved onto Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum. An arcade with both old and new games in it, that the kids absolutely love. The groupon gets you money to play, plus a soda and popcorn (you know like the kind that tastes kind of old and stale, but perfectly buttery and salty).
That was followed by a few hours of clothes cleaning. Each of the 3 kids went to their rooms, went through their closets and dressers to remove clothes that no longer fit! That way we could make a mental note of what we needed to grab while school clothes shopping. It took us a long time, but man was it worth it. We got a bunch of good stuff together and in totes to donate. Now we can open our drawers without struggle. The 5 year old (who is wearing a size 8 BTW) already got a whole new wardrobe of his brother’s hand me downs and is so excited.
Today you will find us at the pool. Thank goodness for the local pools that we can get into with our city recreation membership. However, we will be joining my Mom at the swim club she belongs to today.
Tomorrow we are headed to the local outlet mall for school clothes shopping. We will hit up Under Armour, Nike, Old Navy and a few other’s I am sure. Then after my husband Paul gets out of work, we are headed out of town for a weekend with family!
What a truly amazing summer it has been and I have been so blessed to be able to spend it with my children. What a beautiful gift I was given!
