Thankful Day 20&21

20.  A tradition that I am thankful for…Black Friday Shopping.  After the dinner is done and the thanks have been given, my mom, sister, aunt and I will head out shopping.  We will spend as long as we want to together, sometimes all night and the next day.  There have been years when I have purchased next to nothing and other years where I have done every last bit of my Christmas shopping.  It doesn’t matter, I just enjoy the time with my family.  There will certainly be diet cokes, usually McDonalds is purchased sometime throughout the night, tears will be shed from laughing so hard and new memories will be made.

21. A treasure that I am thankful for…Painted Rocks.  In Michigan there is a thing that people like to do, painting rocks.  Individuals, adults and children alike will decorate rocks and then hide them randomly around town.  The kids and I have made our own many times to hide and we have also done our fair share of finding.  The kids each have 2 or 3 in their room, the ones that they have found that they like best sit on their nightstands.  I also have a basket in my kitchen with the ones I have found that I can’t part with.  I love looking at that basket while I am cooking.  Not only do I enjoy the rocks, but the rocks remind me of fun times with my children.
