Yesterday I did one of those random things on Facebook that tells you based off your profile what your word for the next year will be! I don’t know why I did it, because like 10 other people in my feed had…peer pressure.
Well, my word for 2019 is Change. “Stephanie, get ready for your life to change in incredible ways in 2019. You’ve always been a dreamer and this year you’ll see the payoff of all the hard work manifest itself in a beautiful way.”
Me over here..yea me..I don’t like change! Change scares me, because then there is unknown which means that things are out of my control.
However, as soon as I read this I thought….2019 is the year that I publish a book! I don’t know for sure what part about the Facebook generated text pushed me to that revelation. Maybe the “dreamer” in me.
I wouldn’t say that I am much of a “dreamer”, but perhaps. I do have an idea of how the world could be that is much different then what it is. “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.” Thank you John Lennon My one really big dream that I still have for myself is to have a book, my own published book that I could hold in my hands.
A few years ago now I started putting together a manuscript. My dreams for the book have changed now. I’m thinking a book with some of my favorite/most popular blog posts.
A man that I have looked up to my whole life has written a few books. These books have been compilations of his sermons. I find myself so comforted as I read them. When I was reading one yesterday (after I did the Facebook thing), I took a good look at the book. It was the size and look that I would want for my published work. I did some research and found out that it was published through the same site that I had started a manuscript on 3 years ago.
I took that as a sign. I like signs!! Even if the signs lead to change, that is OK. Being a published author is a change that I could live with.
When you reach the end of this post….could you please, please comment on here with a blog post or 2 that you love and think should make it into a book?
Thank you in advance! Looking forward to 2019.
