Everyone has heard about the law of attraction right? What you put into the universe is what you will get out of it. Well, I love this idea and really try to practice it as often as I can.
So…if that is the case, then why in the world would I ever mention that I am thankful for bills? Wouldn’t I just then end up with more bills and feel even more overwhelmed with what goes out? LOL.
Every morning before I open my eyes I run off a laundry list of things that I am grateful for. Anything and everything that comes to mind within a few minutes. The other day, I said that I was thankful for our bills.
You know what having all these bills means? Having benefits and experiences because of these things! House payment, our car payments, the payment to our lawn service, netflix, cable, our cell phones, payments for the kids extra-curricular activities and doctors bills.
I try hard to pay all the bills right off the top on pay day. This makes it easier for me to know exactly what we have “leftover”. Though, then sometimes I am left for 12 days thinking, OH no, is that enough? Well, the fact of the matter is, we can make it enough. There have been weeks where we survived off of less than $25 and weeks where we had plenty more than that and everything in between.
This paycheck was tight because we had to pay the mortgage and a few other bills, but also I didn’t work for 2 weeks because I was home with the kids over Christmas break. Now, the amazing part of my job is I didn’t need to ask anyone’s permission to be gone from work, but I also don’t have “Paid Time Off” so I don’t get paid if I don’t work. It is a choice that was made and of course that is fine.
Instead of stressing out about the bills that were to be paid and what money would remain, I thanked God for both!
