When I chose Love as my subject stone bible passages came to mind.
“The Scriptures say, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind.’ They also say, ‘Love your neighbors as much as you love yourself.'”
When I was little we used to sing a song based of these scriptures.
This is how it went.
Love the Lord your God with all you heart. With all your soul and all your mind. And love all humankind as you would love yourself!!
You have to give love to receive love. Just like anything else in this world.
Showing love to ourselves can be difficult, without seeming selfish or arrogant. It is necessary though. If you can’t love yourself, how can you expect anyone else to?
Being outwardly loving to others in your life. Sure family and friends, but also acquaintances and even strangers. What you give out is a reflection of what is inside. When you are able to give love freely and without expectation, that is a beautiful thing.
“Love is patient, love is kind” (1Corinthians 13:4–8a) is a favorite Bible verse about love. … Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
