I feel like a real secret to my mental health and positive mind set is to stay open.

To me this means open heart, open mind, available to people and available for life. Open to discovering new things, trying new ways and evolving

The first thing that comes to mind is Yoga. To some it may sound a little hokey. But, if you can come to the mat open and available you are giving yourself a gift. You’ll flow better, release the tension and stiffness earlier and just be more willing to envelope all that the practice has to offer you.

Second is to be open and available to others. Showing you care, lending a hand or an ear. Having compassion for changes and differences, knowing that there is just not 1 right way. Being open gives us so much opportunity and blesses us with the ability to share our gifts with others.

Open hearts and open minds is the foundation of what my church has instilled in me. There is and shall be a place for everyone. We will welcome all who come to gather. When we allow ourselves to be open to differences and newness, we are allowing ourselves to grow.
