In order to maintain a positive attitude towards life, it is essential to remember to do some things behind closed doors. There is some information, some situations and frustrations that aren’t meant to be aired on social media or even in the lunchroom at work.
Why? Well because then you’re opening yourself up for the ridicule and judgement, not to mention just too many people knowing all your business.
Some things are meant to stay intimate. Between the people involved, at least for a period of time while it’s happening. I find so often that we find it necessary to air everything that’s happening to us on Instagram, Facebook or even a blog. Yet, we get very defensive or are shocked when someone comments negatively or simply with a different point of view.
There is a lot to be said for privacy. Especially in this day and age where people know information about us even before we do. Give yourself permission to live some of your life in private. Private doesn’t meant we are keeping things from our friends and family, it just means we’re not putting all of our high highs and low lows on blast.
