A new year means a new 30 day yoga journey with Adriene! Yoga with Adriene is a favorite for me. I can do it in my own home, at a time that works for me and without any judgment. Today was day 1 of the 2020 yoga journey HOME. This is a good place for me to start as I have probably got to my mat about 10 times in the last 6 months. This practice helped me to recognize when I start my day at the mat, I am giving a gift to myself.
New year typically brings all sorts of new routines, ideas or processes. This year, I am just getting back to what grounds me, what brings me home. That means my gratitude app (which I have been pretty faithful on for the last couple of years), my Bible Study (I started a year long plan to read the bible), yoga (30 mins or less at the mat to improve my whole day) and lastly back to low carb eating.
I often feel my very best the first few months of the year, hmmm wonder why that is. Maybe I could recognize that isn’t just a coincidence, but has something to do with my routine and what becomes a part of it. As well as what I fuel my body with (the low carb). Most of my focus tends to be mental, because I am firm believer that when you have a good mindset, the rest will fall into place. However, I know that when I eat junk…my body feels gross, so we will work on that too 🙂
I am so excited to see what each and every day of 2020 will bring!
