Even an old dog (37 years) can learn new tricks.

I have made a promise to myself in this new year to take hold of my life, myself and cultivate what matters.  Starting with me, the me on the inside that no one else can see.  The me that needs to be happy and fed before I could possibly give of myself to anyone else.

Well I have already read 2 books in 2018!  Which is incredible.  I Love reading.  It really does something for me, gets my gears moving and makes me think.  I have been reading resources/self-help books so far and I have not been disappointed.

The last 2 mornings before I even opened my eyes up, I prayed.  I prayed on and for everything that I could think of.  Everything for today, tomorrow and the future!  Then I meditated.  I breath in and out, I really just allow myself to concentrate on the breath that is moving through my body and get myself to a calming state of mind.  What a wonderful way to start my day.

Last fall I had taken up yoga, but lost it sometime over the last couple of months.  Well for the last two days I am back at it.  You Tube is an amazing resource with so many videos to choose from.  I love my Yoga with Adrienne.  She has Yoga for everything in every time frame you could imagine.  So thank you Adrienne for bringing me back to the mat!

I diffuse oils every single morning.  I choose the blend based on how I am feeling, what I have going on or what I need to do with my day.  Today I have just a really bright, fruity mixture in because today is the day the kiddos come back to the classroom after 3 weeks away!  I am excited to see all of them and their parents too.

Last, but not least is my Game planner!  I open it up every morning.  I write down what I am thankful for, any leaders that I want to pray over as well as goals I have for that day or week.  Then I look at what my objectives are for the day, are they still the same, can I achieve them?  Yesterday did I achieve what I set out to achieve?

I read “You Are A Badass” by Jen Sincero and it was incredible.  I highly, highly, highly recommend it to anyone!  You will surely take something and probably many things away from the book.  One of the the things that she says in the book though is that people complain that they don’t have enough time.  (Luckily, I am not one of those people)  We all have the exact same amount of time in a day, it all depends on what we do with it.  I spend my hours before work, on me!  Grounding myself for the day and working my businesses and it is completely worth it.

How are you Transforming Today?
