We are headed to church here in a couple of hours. The kids have a Christmas Pageant. For the last few years, this service has served as my Christmas Eve or Christmas church event.
The Advent season is so beautiful and wonderful. A season of hope! On this last Sunday of Advent, the 4th Sunday, the Sunday of Love, I would like to reflect a little bit on love!
1 Corinthians 13:4-5: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” This is probably one of the most common bible verses on love. Paul and I had my best friend read this at our wedding, it is so beautiful. I think that if we could reflect back on this verse regularly, we would be more likely to be kind in our daily lives. This doesn’t just have to be romantic love, any love that you feel and that you share should be looked at from this lens.
1 Corinthians 16:14: “Do everything in love.” Again, think about this in all that you do. What a beautiful idea that this world could certainly use some more of right now.
John 15:12: “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” Everyone…where they are, just as they are!!!
1 Corinthians 13:13: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
When entering this final week of 2018, I encourage you to think more about love! In all that you see, all that you do, all that you are a part of….act in love!
