Welcome to my weekly Friday post. Today I decided just to focus on 5 things that I am truly loving right now.
1.) Reading! For the last few years I have signed up for a Reading Challenge on Goodreads. This year I decided to challenge myself to read 50 books and I have already read 15. In the last week alone I read 5. I read all kinds of books. Novels, Self-Care, Non-Fiction just anything that gets me interested. This week I read 13 Days in Ferguson by Ronald Johnson. A book about the riots in Ferguson Missouri that broke out after the fatal shooting of a young black man, Michael Brown. This book was amazing and I am so glad that I happened to pick it up at the library.
2.) Thirty-One Gifts. I have always been a person who likes to support women and their business ventures. A couple of weeks ago though, I held a thirty-one party on Facebook. Virtually work free and I ended up with some AMAZING pieces, FREE. I don’t tend to buy myself things often. I will purposefully hold parties as a way to earn myself items that I have been eyeballing. I spoiled myself with a big leather purse with my initials on and it is beautiful.
3.) My Gratitude App! I just downloaded this app on Wednesday as a recommendation from the Google play store. I can set an alarm to remind me to go into it daily. There is a daily quote. Then you can go in and journal all that you are a grateful for and it even gives you a jumping off point in case you need inspiration. Keeping a gratitude journal is a great way to remind yourself of how much you have!
4.) Another item that I am LOVING is my new color-correcting tinted moisturizer from Senegence. I said earlier that I love supporting women in their business ventures. Well a different friend of mine sells Senegence make-up products. I usually just purchase a lipstick or gloss, but I decided to try something different. This amazing moisturizer is now my go-to every morning. I am not much of a make-up person, but I can use a little pump of this and really even out the coloring in my face.
5.) OK, if you know anything about me you may know that Reality TV is my guilty pleasure. Well, Big Brother is one of those shows that I absolutely love. The Celebrity big brother season just ended and I was introduced to a woman that I hadn’t ever heard of before. I laughed out loud with her nearly every single episode of the season. She is one of the most beautiful women I had ever seen on television and seems like she would be an absolute hoot to hang out with. Tamar Braxton, thank you for making me laugh this season and being a real light on the show.
Happy Friday Everyone!! What things are you LOVING this week?
